Global Career Horizons: Navigating Post-Study Job Opportunities for International Graduates

The post-study job options available to international students can vary significantly depending on the country they choose to study in. Here's a brief overview:


United States

  • Optional Practical Training (OPT): Allows F-1 visa holders to work in their field of

    study for up to 12 months after graduation. STEM degree holders may qualify for an

    additional 24-month extension.



  • Job market: Diverse opportunities across various industries, especially in tech,

    finance, healthcare, and research.

United Kingdom

  • Post-Study Work Visa: Allows graduates to work in the UK for up to 2 years (3-

    years for PhD graduates) without needing a job offer.


  • Job market: Strong in finance, creative industries, engineering, and healthcare.

Ireland

  • Third Level Graduate Programme or Stay Back Option: Allows graduates to stay

    for up to 2 years (3 years for PhD graduates) to seek a job or do a part or full-time job.

    technology.


Canada

    are not allowed to begin working. In order to be employed in Singapore, applicants

    must possess a valid work visa.
